OCTAFISH
High-energy music and pure contradiction, danceable, intricate tracks, precisely composed and improvised.
Mathematically constructed grooves and melodic snippets – meticulously planned – spontaneously unleashed.
Emotionally quirky soundscapes with heartfelt warmth and goosebumps.
Hypnotic grooves and otherworldly melodies, handcrafted and electronic.
And yet: it sounds like jazz.
The music magazine Jazzpodium speaks of a “daring soundscape” and rates the music as “experimental excellence.”
The band themselves have dubbed their sound INDUSTRIAL FAKE JAZZ: rock cascades à la King Crimson, the musical humor of Frank Zappa, and fake jazz sounds reminiscent of the New York experimental scene. A blend that has already garnered international acclaim; they have even collaborated with former Zappa guitarist Mike Keneally.
