Bad Penny (DE)

Bad Penny's music is a unique journey through the world of folk rock - from Blues, Polka, (Kosaken?) to Cajun and Zydeco, all with a rock'n'roll band's power. Especially popular are Eastern styles that they integrate into their music.

By a large Open-Air-Festival or in an intimate cosy pub Bad Penny always gets close to its audience with a powerful and dynamic mix of Folk, Rock, Cajun and Blues.
Their concert tours have already taken them to France, Ireland, Holland, Great Britain and of course across Germany. They called themselves Bad Penny after the song written by the famous Irish singer and guitar player Rory Gallagher.

Paul Greens RockAcademy (US)

Paul Green is a musician, control freak, and founder of school of Rock and The Paul Green Rock Academy (PGRA).

In 2009 Green sold the School of Rock, which today has more than 100 branches across the country, to the parent company of the Sylvan Learning Center. Though he left School of Rock the passion to teach kids music, especially ZAPPA music, never left him. So he opened a new kids music school: THE PAUL GREEN ROCK ACADEMY, which operates with the same love for music and wild ambition as the original School of Rock.

Zappnoise (DE)

At ca. 4 p.m. Zappnoise from Stralsund will open the Zappanale Warm Up Party on the Kamp. The program of the band contains its established set list, but parts will be arranged in a new way. We are looking forward to the thrilling guest performance of their frieds Rhonda and Matthew from Portland/OR, because they, too, don't want to miss the opportunity to play some bars from Zappa's cosmos, as both of them are part of the Portland music scene.

Let's start the party with the „Muffin Man“, see „Ms. Pinky“, hoping that the „Torture Never Stops“, watching „Filthy Habits“ from the „Crew Slut“ and listening to the question „Why Does’t Hurt When I Pee?“

Jazzprojekt Hundehagen (DE)

Jazzprojekt Hundehagen is probably one of the very few bands at Zappanale where the musicians perceive themselves as hobby musicians, bringing home the bacon by having a different job. For years now they are an inherent part of Zappanale and became the local House Band. During the last decade not only the band around guitarist Michael Käckenmeister has grown but also their guitar biased interpretations of Zappa works. Those of you who love "eternally long guitar soli" will get their money's worth.
